4. How is the procedure performed and What is the Treatment Duration?

Ans. The time Duration this procedure takes is around 40-50 Minutes. Following are the Steps involved in it.

 Step 1: First a cleanser is used to clean the skin and remove any dirt

Step 2: Then a small brush stroke of the solution is applied on the neck or behind the ear to determine the skin’s reaction.

Step 3: A petroleum jelly is applied to sensitive areas of the face such as corners of the eyes, nose, and mouth then peeling solution is prepared and applied to the target area using a brush.

Step 4: After a predetermined time is over, neutralization of the peel will be done and will be removed with a cotton pad. Then cold compress is applied to take care of any discomfort.

Step 5: Finally, a moisturizer and sunscreen is applied on the treated skin.

5. Is Chemical Peels Treatment Painful?

Ans. In general, patients only feel a mild stinging sensation during light or medium chemical peels. After the procedure, the physician may prescribe a mild pain reliever to relieve any discomfort.
